A tribute to Empordà Garnacha

The Racons collection presents its Garnatxa 2022, a limited edition created as a tribute to this much-loved native variety.

Black Garnacha is one of the most representative grape varieties of the DO Empordà. At Celler Mas Pòlit, we work with it through a respectful, artisanal approach. Each grape is carefully handpicked in the vineyard, located in the privileged area of Vilamaniscle, at the foot of the Serra de Rodes. Here, the tramuntana winds, slate soils and Mediterranean microclimate create a unique balance that gives the wine its unmistakable personality.

 

The value of time and patience

Racons Garnatxa 2022 is the result of careful winemaking and 12 months of ageing in French oak barrels, followed by a long rest in bottle. This process allows the wine to develop complexity and balance while preserving the freshness and fruit expression. The result is a wine with a silky texture, fine tannins and perfect harmony between intensity and elegance.

On the nose, it reveals aromas of ripe red fruit, mineral notes, hints of cocoa and sweet spices, with a distinctive balsamic background. On the palate, it is broad and balanced, with vibrant acidity and pronounced minerality that faithfully reflects the slate terroir of Vilamaniscle.
